Which way does the magnetic field due to the Heimholtz Coil point? Be specific.

Which way does the magnetic field due to the Heimholtz Coil point? Be specific.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Heimholtz coil is a pair consists of two identical circular magnetic coils, both carries equal current in the same direction.

magnetic field due to heimholtz coil is in the way, that it minimizes the nonuniformality of the field at the center of the coil. the direction is along the entral axis but megnatic field is constant. the separation between both the colis is h and which is most nearly equal to the raduis of coils, and that is why the both are able to produce a constant megnatic filed .

Magnetic field values are often determined by using a device known as a search coil. This technique depends on the measurement of the total charge passing through a coil in a time interval during which the magnetic flux linking the windings changes either because of the motion of the coil or because of a change in the value of B. As a specific example, calculate B when a 69-turn coil of resistance 248Ω and cross-sectional area 42.5m2 produces the following...
