According to Dalton, all matter is made of atoms which are indivisible and Indestructible.

According to Thompson's model of an atom, the atom consisted of positively charged part smeared over a spherical volume and electrons were embedded in it just like plums in a pudding. The positive charge was exactly equal to the negative charge(electrons) so that the atom was electrically neutral.
