Answer #1

Given :-

train starting point at metro station = 10 AM

distance between metro station amd whistvilla = 14 miles

average speed = 35 mph

time requird to move from apartment to platform in whistvilla = 5 mintues

v = d/t

t = d/v

t = 14 miles / 35 mph

t = 2/5 hours or 0.4 hours

t = 0.4 h x 60 = 24 minutes

so it takes 24 minutes for the train to travel form metro station ro whistvilla

train started at 10 AM at metro transitt station so that train reaches the whist villa after the travel of 24 minutes so it reaches at 10:24 Am

for you to reach the platform at whistville at exact time of 10.24 AM you need to start at your appartment 5 min before this time

Ans :- 10.24 AM - 5 mintues = 10.19 AM
