a compund means a substance which is formed of two or more than two elemnts available in nature in some fixed proportion . a compund has same property available anywhere iin the world. like water is a compund of elements oxygen and hydrogen in the atomic ration 2:1 H2O

but mixture are those which is obtained by simply mixing diffrent substance in any proportion. depending upon the concerntration the property of mixture will vary. like mixture of water and sugar. you will get different sweetness value depending on what amount of sugar you add to water
