The impedance of the circuit .

We have XL=0 since there is no inductance in the circuit.

Also. Substituting these values of R and XC in the equation for impedance we obtain R2+XC2=13302.

On simplifying we obtain XC=1326.2 ohm.

Therefore . This implies that current leads emf by 860 as it must be for a capacitive circuit.
