Brush your hair with a plastic comb. Bring the comb close to a small piece of paper. Move a fridge magnet near the comb and then the paper. Do these objects exert forces on one another? Observation and explain scientific principles please.

A nuetral comb would not attract a piece of paper only when it is rubbed with dry hair or charged by any way then it attracts pieces of paper.This happens because when comb is rubbed with hair there occurs a transfer of electrons from hair to the comb.Thus the comb gets charged,when the charged comb is brought near the bits of paper it attracts the oppositive part of charge.Hence there will be a force of attraction.

When we move a fridge magnet near the comb than there will be a current flow in comb according to farady law(it means current flow from one side of comb to another side) thus the comb gets negatively charged,when the charged comb is brought near the bits of paper it attracts the oppositive part of charge.Hence there will be a force of attraction.
