using conservation of momentum
m1 * u1 + m2 * u2 = m1 * v1 + m2 * v2
55 * 4 - 0.45 * 27 = 55 * v1 + 0.45 * v2 ....(1)
and
using conservation of kinetic energy
0.5 * m1 * u1^2 + 0.5 * m2 * u2^2 = 0.5 * m1 * v1^2 + 0.5 * m2 * v2^2
55 * 4^2 + 0.45 * 27^2 = 55 * v1^2 + 0.45 * v2^2 ....(2)

v1 = 3.5 m/s
v2 = 34.5 m/s

the average acceleration of the ball , a = ( v2 - u2)/t
a = ( 34.5 + 27)/0.024 m/s^2
