Two metal bars with the same cross sectional area are joined together end to end. The first bar is 0.39 m long and made of aluminum. The second bar is 0.47 m long and made of tin.
(a) Calculate the boundry temperature at the location of the join given that the free end of the aluminum bar is held at 144.5 oC while the free end of the tin bar is held at 21.6 oC. oC
Note the following constants: The thermal conductivity for aluminum and tin are 220 W/moC and 64 W/moC respectively.
