What are the characteristics that must be taken into account to try to simplify the Navier-Stoks equation and what are its limitations? is a question about my course of mechanic of fluids

Yes. It is question related to the section dynamics of fluid flow from fluid mechanics.

Characteristics: Navier equation counts the gravity force.The pressure force applied by fluid. Then ability of fluid to compress,i.e viscous force.and compressibility force in the direction of applied force.

Ex. The resultant force applied in x -direction given as

Fx=Fgx+Fpx+ Fvx+Fcx

I.e addition of gravity, pressure, viscous,and compressive forces.

Here force turbulence of flow is negligible.

Limitations is that it depends on fluid viscosity.
