Define a "diffusive resistance" R by in analogy to Ohm's law from (phi1-phi2) = I R where I is the total diffusive "current" (i.e. number of particles per second) caused by an imposed concentration difference at the two ends of a sample. (a) Find R for a sample of length L, cross sectional area A, and diffusion constant D. (b) Starting from definition, find R for two samples connected in series.
