Question

A charged particle moves without experiencing magnetic force. We can conclude that:

A charged particle moves without experiencing magnetic force. We can conclude that:

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Magnetic force, F = qvB sin
Where q is the charge of he particle, v its velocity, B is magnetic field and is the angle between the velocity and magnetic field.

Given that qvB sin = 0
Since q and v can not be zero, either B or = 0
ie, either there is no magnetic field or the particle is moving in the direction of field ( = 0) or opposite to the direction of field ( = 0)
