A 5.57kg bowling ball moving at 9.55m/s collides with a 0.825kg bowling pin, which is scattered at an angle of 27.5 degrees from the initial direction of the bowling ball, with a speed of 11.5m/s.
a) Calculate the direction in degrees of the final velocity of the bowling ball. This angle shold be measured in the same way that theta is.
b) Calculate the magnitude of the final velocity, in meters per second, of the bowling pin.
Please show all work because I have tried several times and can not figure out where I am going wrong use collision formulas to find the answer m1v1i+m2v2i= M1v1f+m2v2f that is what I was using to try and find the answer I may be all wrong. Again please show work and Thank You in advance.
