How can I compare a calculated value of resistance from the graph from the value obtained from the resistor color code

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Comparson between two values means you have to find the percent error. The lesser the percentage error , more is your accuracy. In the case of resistors, if you have done experiment without any significant error, then the percentage difference between calculated value of resistance and value obtained from color code should be < 1%

How to find this error,

% error = |Calculated value - Theoretical value / Theoretical value |

Here theoretical value is what you have obtained from color code

Remember, this should always be positive, that's why a mode function is used.

After this just multiply by 100 to get percentage error.
