(a) If the wavelength of an electron is 5.41 ? 10?7 m, how fast is it moving?
b) If the electron has a speed equal to 8.90 ? 106
m/s, what is its wavelength?
Formula used for this question is in uploaded image please go through this first -
Now
Part A)-
wavelength = 5.41*10-7 m
= h/mv
5.41*10-7 = 6.63*10-34 / 9.1*10-31 * v
v = 6.63*10-34 / 9.1*10-31 * 5.41*10-7
v = 0.13467 * 104
v = 1346.7 m/s
Part B)-
if v = 8.90 ? 106 m/s then = ?
= h/mv
= 6.63*10-34 / 9.1*10-31 * 8.90 ? 106
= 8.1 *10-11 m
