Answer #1

According to physics of sound we all know that sound waves nothing but a form of vibration which moves through a medium which can be gas, solid or liquid.Biologically our ear has the ability to convert the sound vibration into electrical impulse due to which we can hear the sound. The process of converting vibration is known as the auditory tranduction. As the sound enters the external auditory canal and meet at the tempenic membrane, the membrane starts vibrating and through series of transmission sound wave gets converted into electrical impulses.

The tempenic membrane responds to vibration of different type differently by vibrating itself so it produces different electric impulses for different notes. That is how we can hear music.

Sound primarily is one type of mechanical wave which gets converted into electrical wave.
