Enumerate the equations and boundary conditions needed to construct a stellar model.
Assuming hydrostatic and thermal equilibrium, To create a stellar model, we need to solve a set of four differential equations. To do this, we need four boundary conditions.
Four Differential equations are -
The mass conservation
Hydrostatic equation
Energy equation
Heat transfer method
For radiative energy transport
For convective energy transport.
For simplicity, we choose “zero” conditions which are r = L = 0 at the center (M = 0),
and ρ = T = 0 at the surface ( place where optical depth =1 and M = MT).
