How does polarization work? Explain in detail.
The vibrations of the electric vectors in the normal light wave occur symmetrically in every direction in the plane perpendicular to the speed of the wave. When a wave of light is applied to a tourmaline crystal, So only the bays of the wave of light are able to eject vibrations which are parallel to the axis of the crystal, the remaining vibrations are stopped by the crystal. Thus, after coming out of the crystal, the vibrations of the light wave are in only one direction in the plane perpendicular to the speed of the wave. such wave is called plane polarised wave. And this process is called polarisation of light.
