An electron moves undeflected through an electric field and magnetic field, traveling at v = 170,000 m/s. If the electric field strength E = 1.7 x 10^6 N/C, what is the magnitude of the magnetic field B?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Given, velocity, v= 170,000m/s

          electric field, E= 1.7 N/C

from the formula, if magnetic feild is denoted by B-

           v= E/B

          B= E/v

            = 1.7/ 170,000

           = 10 T
