1) For a good solar cell we want a large V_bi, a wide depletion zone, and large minority carrier lifetimes. Explain both physically and with reference to appropraite aquations why we cannot choose Na and Nd to simutoneously optimze all three conditions.

2) Given your answer to part 1, explain why we make the p side lightly doped and thick and not the n side. Be sure to explain what we mean by "thick".
