Answer #2

NUCLEAR POWER

A low-carbon source of energy is Nuclear Power. This is the only non-renewable source of energy which will help us to cobat global warming in long run due to its low carbon content. So in response to climate change, US decided to double its yearly output of nuclear electricity. US has ore nuclear power plants than any other country in the world.

For the worldto meet the international globalwaming goal of 2 degree celcius per year, as per IEA, the global nuclear power generation capacity needs to be increased to 930 giggawatts from exixsting 396 gigawatts by 2050. Spent fuel is declared to be waste is included in the inventory. Spent fuel processing is very much required. As per prediction the volume of spent fuel will double the 63,000 ton statutory limit in about 50 years or even sooner.
