In the last part of the experiment, the Rheostat was used to reduce the current flow through the ammeter and multimeter, since the resistances on the resistor board were quite low. The Total Resistance of the circuit is due to both the Rheostat and the resistor board. When you connected the higher resistance spools, did you notice that the measured current decreased? If so, why do you think that happened?
(I did see a decrease, but why? Please explain!)
