One science fiction idea to spin Venus up is to attach massive rockets to the surface of the planet to increase its spin rate. Assume such rockets are able to apply a tangential acceleration of g = 9.8 m/s2. If this was possible (it’s definitely not at the moment), how much time would it take to spin Venus up from essentially zero rotation to a rotation rate similar to the Earth? The radius of Venus is about 6,052 km
