The direciton of current in both wires is to the left.

and  

Now,

the magnetic field due to the current carrying wire at distance r from the wire is given by

therefore as the distance increases the magnitude of the magnetic field decreases.

The magnetic field at a point between both the wires will be in opposite direction by right hand rule

Since therefore the the magnetic field will be zero at point which is located between both the wires and must be closer to the
