We have point A as point of emission of photon (light
bulb).
AF = height of bulb = 2 m
Angle DAB = 65o
BD = 3 metres. D is where photon bends and travels towards second
wall.
It strikes at point C.
So, AD = BD/tan65o
= 3/2.1445
= 1.399 m
DF + AD = 2m
or DF = 2 - 1.399
= 0.601 m
Alos CE = EB*tan20o
EB = 2m
So, CE = 2*tan20o
= 0.728 m
EG = DF = 0.601 m
So,
CG = EG + CE
= 0.601+0.728
= 1.329 m
So, photon strikes 1.329 m above floor on second wall.
