Answer #1

This question emphasizes on the concept of inertia.

If the body/particle is at rest in some frame of reference and the frame is intertial then net force on the particle is zero.

In otherwords there is no interaction or the sum total of interaction is zero. Now in this case when you see the change in position then we must say that some interaction is there.

Now we will take the case when the particle / body is already in motion, in some inertial frame of reference, then due to inertia of motion it will continue moving in the direction of initial velocity and will change its position continuously without any interaction. And clearly either no interaction has taken place whatsoever or the sum total of interaction is zero.

from the above discussion, it can be said that the change in position of object is NOT the indicator of interaction.

You are being considered for the position of the new team leader of an important ongoing project at your place of employment. However, this opportunity comes at a time when large scale changes are occurring within the organization. Not many of the changes are perceived as positive by the employee base. By the time all of the changes take place, the organization will be operating quite differently. In a wonderful stroke of good fortune, you end up eating lunch next...

Consider elemental antimony (Sb). (a) Based on its position in the periodic table, how many valence electrons should it have? You should not need to do any detailed calculations or write the electron configuration. Further, what block does it belong to (i.e., s, p, d, or f)? (b) Based on its position in the periodic table, what shell (i.e., n = ?) should the valence electrons be associated with? You should not need to do any detailed calculations or write...

This assignment involves using a binary search tree (BST) to keep track of all words in a text document. It produces a cross-reference, or a concordance. This is very much like assignment 4, except that you must use a different data structure. You may use some of the code you wrote for that assignment, such as input parsing, for this one. Remember that in a binary search tree, the value to the left of the root is less than the...

If the ethanol water system is considered an ideal system, an equilibrium curve can be plotted using only the ‘combined Raoult’s Law’, as shown. (This curve is not completely accurate as activity coefficients are not considered.) Along the x axis is the liquid mole fraction of ethanol, the light key, with the vapor mole fraction of ethanol along the y axis. For this problem, assume that you can use this curve to estimate the number of necessary distillation stages for...
