calculate the amplitude and phase of the reflection coefficient for a plane wave incident on a sediment with density 1200kg/m^3, sound speed 1700 m/s at an angle of incidence of 70degrees.

answers 1 and 30degress.

I know I can get z1=(rho1 x speed of sound1)/cos(theta incidence) but no idea what I can get out of that and according to my book notes when the speed of sound in the second fluid is faster than the first fluid the magnitude of the reflection coefficient is 1 after the critical angle. but I can't get the correct phase of the reflection coefficient.

Thanks

6.4.2: For plane wave reflection from a fluid-fluid interface it is observed that at normal incidence the pressure amplitude of the reflected wave is one-half that of the incident wave (no phase information is recorded). As the angle of incidence is increased, the amplitude of the reflected wave first decreases to zero and then increases until at 30˚ the reflected wave is as strong as the incident wave.
