Answer #1

Life on planet depends on many things we can't just predict about it even how life on our very earth arose there are many theories which are unable to fully explain about it.

Evolution is the for any form of life to exist on any planet, like in our earth sunlight , atmosphere , oxygen , ozon layer, environment, water, ocean which are main reason for existence of life on our planet.

Antares star is 8 to 10 times heavier then our sun and 15th brightest star in night sky , so obviously for any habitual planet its distance from star should be more than our earth from sun and it must possess key features which i mentioned above and Because brightness of this star is much greater than sun so its neccesary for this planet to protect from harmful radiation like gamma rays and UV rays.

Even if this all features exist there is not so much chances of existence of life.

Imagine two planets orbiting a star with orbits edge-on to the Earth. The peak Doppler shift for each 75 m/s, but one has a period of 7 days and the other has a period of 700 days. The star has a mass of one solar mass. Assume 1 solar mass equals 2*10^30 kg. 1.) Calculate the mass of the shorter period planet. Astronomers are constantly discovering new planets orbiting nearby stars. In the following scenario, compare the gravitational force between the planet and its star to the gravitational force between the Earth and the Sun and enter your result as a decimal with no units. (For instance, if the gravitational force between the planet and the star is 1/4 the gravitational force between the Earth and the Sun, enter 0.250) A planet that has a mass 7.93 times that of the Earth...

One method to find extrasolar planets is by observing the Doppler shift arising from the reflex motion of the central star. Is this technique best able to find planets that are close or far away from the star? Planets that are massive or low mass? Planets that have a large or small radius? Why? Explain your reasoning for each.
