Now imagine you are flying at speed 4c/5 in a spaceship alongsice that line of clocks, noticing what time each clock says as it zooms right past your window, so you are watching a movie of frames of snapshots of those clocks. At what rate would the clocks in that movie appear to be ticking, relative to your own clock? At what rate would you reckon that each one of those clocks was actually ticking, relative to your own clock?

In the movie, the snapshots of the moving clock would show that the time has be dilated by a factor of gamma. Hence

where t' is the time shown in the clocks of the movie and t is the time on your clock.
