Explain the phenomena of interference in sound waves.
we know that the in longitudinal waves compressions and rarefactions will form
the region where the pressure is more called compression and less pressure at rarefaction.
when a sound wave is propagating the pressure at the compression region is
P max = B*k*A
B is bulk modulus , k is wave number and A is amplitude
when two sound waves are interfered constructively the amplitude of the resultant wave is more
and if the two waves are interfered destructiverly the amplitude of the wave is less than any individual wave
constructive interference takes place if the compression of a wave is interfered with compression of the second wave and destructive interference takes place if the compression and rarefraction combine forming the less amplitude is less than any individual wave amplitude.
