A friend of yours, Willa Walker, has asked you to tell them something about their walking style. You decide that the best way to do this is to determine the cycle length and cycle rate that Willa uses for their preferred walking speed. Unfortunately, you don’t have a measuring tape, but you do have a stopwatch. You have access to a pool that is 50 m long that you can have Willa walk next to. At their preferred walking pace, it takes 36.5 seconds to walk the length of the pool, with a total of 48 steps taken in the measurement distance. Answer the following questions. What are Willa’s preferred walking speed, cycle rate and cycle length based upon the information provided? (6 pts) What factors of the test situation (environment) might influence your measurements and resulting determination of Willa’s walking parameters?
