A projectile (Object A) sits just on the edge of a 1.500 m high ledge. Its target (Object B) sits at rest directly below it. Object A is launched into the air with an acceleration of 3.000 m/s2 at an angle of 30o above the horizontal. After 1.000~s, Object A is in free fall. At the same moment the projectile is launched into the air, Object B starts moving from rest on the ground in the same general direction as Object A. (This is a tough, but doable problem...)
Consider the initial location of Object B the coordinate origin for all of the following questions.
(a) Starting from the basic kinematic equations, find the coordinates of the Object A the instant it starts free falling.
(b) Starting from the basic kinematic equations, find the maximum height of Object A.
(c) Starting from the basic kinematic equations, find the horizontal coordinate that Object A would hit the ground.
(d) Starting from the basic kinematic equations, find the acceleration Object B must have in order to collide with Object A.
