Playing darts can be an issues because the dart board or the target might be attached to the train when train accelerates , then the target might also accelerate . Now the dart which we throw is in the air it won't accelerate . The train is accelerating thus with respect to the train the dart would have a negative acceleration or a relative acceleration backwards. Thus if we play darts in an accelerating train , darts would hit backwards instead of going forward.
