1 Explain: A pair of speakers placed on both sides of a stage emit identical pure tones (tones of a fixed frequency and with a fixed wavelength in the air). When one is placed in the central hall at the same distance from both speakers, the sound is heard loud and clear. Why does the sound intensity decrease considerably when one is placed closer to one side? Suggestion: use a diagram to make the approach.
