Pitch is mainly related to the fundamental frequency. But what other factors affect perceived pitch (what else affects the pitch that we think we hear)?

Answer #1

The highness or lowness of sound is determined by Pitch. Pitch is dependent on a frequency of sound you hear. Higher frequency will give you higher pitched sound. Lower frequency will give you lower pitched sound.

Now the object which is producing the sound will decide the pitch of sound as the object going to decide the frequency. If the object which is producing sound is string then length of string, diameter, density and tension on the sting will decide with how much frequency wire can vibrate and that frequency will decide the pitch. Also the sound you hear may not be a single pitched sound, it may be combination of different pitch.
