Calculate the terminal voltage for a battery with an internal resistance of 0.620 and an emf of 6.50 V when the battery is connected in series with the following components.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

A)

Here in the above question following components and Resistor values were not given. The remaining values, emf = 6.5 v, internal resistance r = 0.620

The current in the circuit is the ratio of the emf of the battery with the total resistance and the total resistance will have the addition of the internal and the external resistance.

If the current passes through the cell a voltage is developed across the internal resistance of the cell this voltage is called terminal voltage.

The expression for the current is,

I = 6.50/(R+0.620)
