How does the Law of Conservation of Energy relate to exercise, diet and weight loss?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution: We take diet which provides energy to our body. if we do exercise then it require energy which is provided by our body. According to Law of Conservation of energy if energy given by diet to our body is lesser than energy released during exercise then this extra energy provided with help of store energy of our body and this is responsible for weight loss because our body cell require energy for growth but is not provided.

According to Law of Conservation of energy.

Energy given by diet - energy for exercise = Store energy in our body then our body is under weight loss.

A weight loss clinic advertises that its program of diet and exercise will allow clients to lose 10 pounds in one month. A local reporter investigating weight reduction gets permission to interview a randomly selected sample of clients who report the given weight losses during their first month in this program. Does it appear that the clinic’s claim is accurate? Select the correct and use an inference statistical test. Pounds Lost: 9.5, 13, 9, 10, 11, 9, 5, 9, 12.5,...

Learning Goal: To understand how to apply the law of conservation of energy to situations with and without nonconservative forces acting. The law of conservation of energy states the following: In an isolated system the total energy remains constant. If the objects within the system interact through gravitational and elastic forces only, then the total mechanical energy is conserved. The mechanical energy of a system is defined as the sum of kinetic energy K and potential energy U. For such...
