If a mass of 125 grams is hung at the 0.35 m position on the meter stick, what force do you have pull on the spring scale in order to make the meter stick level? ANS. 0.46 N  
2. For the same meter stick in Part 1, an unknown mass is hung at the 0.25 m position on the meter stick. If a force of 1.47 N is required to make the meter stick level, how many grams is the mass? ANS. 240 grams
