Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity and if acceleration is constant then the rate at which velocity changes is constant.

Example :

When we drop a ball from a tower then it comes under the influence of constant acceleration due to gravity which is 9.81 m/s^2

Due to this constant acceleration the speed of ball increase 9.81 m/s every second. So the increase in velocity at every second is constant.

So motion with constant acceleration is defined as when your velocity incrreases at constant rate.
