A fully dressed person is at rest in the middle of a frozen frictionless pond and must get to sure how can this be accomplished explain in terms of Newton's third law

''every action have equal and opposite reaction '' What is this ?

take a example => when someone shoot a bullet with a gun , recoil take place action => bullet going forward has backward reaction as a recoil of the gun , you must have seen this ,

now come to the question  

A fully dressed person is at rest in the middle of a frozen frictionless pond

since pond   is frictionless there will be no force of friction on him ,

so if he want to go to the shore he has to throw his clothes or whatever is heavy  he has , in the opposite side of the shore
