Its a lot safe to stay inside your house, away from electrical appliances that work on signals like Television, mobiles, etc.

If you are already outside, away from a shelter, then it is better to stay away from trees and towers. You can stay inside a vehicle (car), which will insulate you from the circuit, since, it has a rubber wheels, which will not allow the lightning to flow through the car. But, since, all the elements outside are still exposed to rain, the safety can still not be 100 percent guaranteed. So, calmly search for shelters
