A model rocket is launched straight up with a speed of 45.0 m/s and maintains an upward acceleration, including air and gravitational resistance. the acceleration of the rocket is  800m/s2 for 10s at which point the engines run out of fuel. The rocket continues upward to its maximum height and falls back towards the Earth. After falling for 7.65m, from its maximum height, what is the decay of the rocket reaching its starting point.

A model rocket is fired straight up from the top of a 55-m-tall building. The rocket has only enough fuel to burn for 3.0 s. But while the rocket engine is burning fuel, it produces an upward acceleration of 60 m/s2. After the fuel supply is exhausted, the rocket is in free fall and just misses the edge of the building as it falls back to the ground. Ignoring air resistance, calculate 1. A rocket is launched vertically up with no initial velocity. Propulsion is provided by the ejection of mass with constant velocity of ejection u = 66.0 m/s relative to the rocket and at a constant rate so determined that the initial acceleration is zero. The mass of fuel that can be ejected is 55.0% of the total mass at launch. Assuming constant gravitational acceleration, how long does it take the rocket to achieve maximum upward acceleration?
