Dear Dr. Jody,

Greetings!

I am writing this email to you to request a defer for my admission.

I had received my Ph.D. admission in Nuclear Engineering at University of Surrey, UK in 22nd day of Nov 2019 and I submitted my papers required by my sponsor to upgrade my scholarship from US to UK. I have completed the necessary procedures for my sponsor. At the same time, I started in procedures the application for a Tier 4 visa and a start with the Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) process for studying in the UK.

Because of concerns about the delay in the issuance of the British visa. It is my kind request to you to help me defer my admission to the summer semester of 2020.

I am really hopeful and looking forward to your positive response.
