a) Since this is battery operated car, so first of all chemical energy inside battery will convert to electrical energy which is finally converting into kinetic energy (Mechanical Energy) of car. Now if the efficiency of the car is higher, we can get higher kinetic energy of car for small chemical or electrical energy and eventually we can run the car for longer time till the battery discharge. So for better efficiency we will get better battery life.
b) Now if the efficiency of the car is less, we will get lesser kinetic energy for higher chemical or electrical energy. So the car will run for smaller time till the battery will discharge. Hence for poor efficiency battery life will be poor and we need faster replacement or charging of battery.
