(Only need part B)

The tuning circuit in an FM radio receiver is a series RLC circuit with a 0.200 μH inductor...

The receiver is tuned to a station at 104.5 MHz . What is the value of the capacitor in the tuning circuit? Answer: 11.6 * 10^-12 F

FM radio stations are assigned frequencies every 0.2 MHz, but two nearby stations cannot use adjacent frequencies. What is the maximum resistance the tuning circuit can have if the peak current at a frequency of 104.9 MHz , the closest frequency that can be used by a nearby station, is to be no more than 0.120 % of the peak current at 104.5 MHz ? The radio is still tuned to 104.5 MHz , and you can assume the two stations have equal strength.

You've decided to build a radio to listen to your favourite FM radio station, which broadcasts at 93.90 MHz. For the tuner, you'll be using an RLC circuit, but the only inductor you happen to have on hand has a value of 0.510 μH. Unfortunately, there's another radio station — which you don't want to listen to — at a nearby frequency of 93.50 MHz. To prevent any interference from this 93.50 MHz radio station, you want the peak current...

To receive AM radio, you want an RLC circuit that can be made to resonate at any frequency between 500 and 1650 kHz. This is accomplished with a fixed 9.94 µH inductor connected to a variable capacitor. What range of capacitance (in nF) is needed? smallest value ________ nF largest value _________ nF

A series RLC circuit is driven by an AC voltage source with peak voltage of 5 Volts. The peak current in the circuit is 0.1 Amps. The peak voltage across the resistor is measured to be 4 Volts. The peak voltage across the inductor is measured to be 10 Volts, and the peak voltage across the capacitor is measured to be 7 Volts. The three peak voltages across the components in the circuit add up to more than the peak...
