here, image distance,

di = 3 cm

object distance is,

do = -6 cm

so, magnification is,

m = di/do = (3 cm)/(-6 cm)

= -0.5

now, image height is hi, and object height is ho = 4 cm and

m = hi/ho

or, -0.5 = hi/(4 cm)

or, hi = -2 cm

hence the image height is 2 cm. (minus sign before image height indicates the the image is inverted.)
