which of these methods is used to determine which component in a circuit isn't working properly?...

which of these methods is used to determine which component in a circuit isn't working properly? voltage test, ohm amp draw or hopscotching

Answer #1

Hopscotching is the method used for the troubleshooting of an electrical circuit.

In this method,to find the faulty component, a voltmeter is used to measure the voltage at various points in the malfunctioning circuit. One probe of the voltmeter is connected to a common point and the other probe is kept at points before and after the switch to measure the voltage across it.

If the voltmeter shows the same reading at points before and after the switch, the circuit is closed. But if the voltmeter shows a reading of 0V, it means the circuit is open. The open circuit prevents the components from running properly.

If the voltmeter shows reading across all the components but still the circuit is not working, then the problem could be due to a defective load device.

When working properly a machine that used to make chips for calculation does not produce more than 4% defective chips, wheanever the machine produces more than 4% defective chips ,it's needs a adjustment. To check if machine is working properly the quality control department at the company often takes samples of chips and inspect them to determine if they are good or defective. One such random sample of 200 chips taken recently from the productive line contained 12defective chips.use 2.5%significance level...

A long solenoid is used as an inductor in an R-L circuit. The solenoid has 165/m and a cross-sectional radius of 0.14 meters. It is placed into a R-L circuit with a 18 Ohm resistor and a battery initially. The battery is removed, the initial current is 3 amps, and 8 milli-seconds after the battery has been removed, the voltage across the inductor is 7 volts. What is the length of the solenoid in meters?

In order for a dc motor to function properly, it must be protected from physical damage during the starting period. At starting conditions, the motor is not rotating, and armature generated voltage EA = 0 V. Since the internal resistance of a normal DC motor is very low, a very high current flows. It is possible for a motor to be severely damaged by such currents, even if they last for only a moment. A solution to the problem of...
