Two balls on a frictionless plane are heading towards each other. Ball 1 has a mass of 2 kg and is heading to the right at 3m/s,and ball 2 has a mass of 5 kg and is heading to the left at 1m/s. Both balls collide into each other, but their centers are slightly off-center resulting in a change of ball 1’s trajectory from parallel to the x-plane to 70° above the x-plane. What are the magnitude and direction of ball 2’s final velocity?

Also, v1f= 2.903 m/s

The answer is V2f= 1.019 m/s, angle = 80 °below x-axis

Please show the work and explain the equations used to get the answer
