i have taken few charges placed line by line. Giving rise to a surface charge. Then the field obtained in yellow shaded region is almost uniform. If the charge distribution extends to a large distance on left and right sides then it is possible to get perfect uniform electric field. As phet doesn't allow me to take more charges i got uniform field in only a small region( yellow).
