In case , when shock causes the heart to stop or work insufficiently due to when there is very low amount of of blood is received by the heart through the blood vessels. This is due to the widening or dilatation of the blood vessels . This all makes the low volume supplied to the heart n to supply with inadequate amount of blood.

And in case of starting of heart normal activity,. shock is generally required to regain the normal rydthmicity of the heart. Defrillation is the process in which artificial electrical shock is given through the electrode placed on the chest to maintain the normal rydthmcity of the heart
