Homework Answers

Answer #1

1) Value of

e = value of charge on one electron = 1.6 x 10-19 C

So, putting above values in , we get 230.4 x 10-30 Nm2

value of A is 230.4

Unit of is Nm2

2) 2 kg of electrons contains 2 x 1030 electrons as mass of an electron is 9.1 x 10-31kg

so, net charge on it A= - (2 x 1030 )(1.6x10-19)= - 3.2 x1012 C

2 kg of protons contains 12 x 1026 protonss as mass of a proton is 1.67 x 10-27 kg

so, net charge on it B= + (12 x 1026 )(1.6x10-19)= + 19.2 x107 C

Neutron has no charge, so C=0
